Does Science Disprove God?

For those of us who aren’t really the science whizz it’s easy to just assume that those much smarter than us have developed super theories that must be in conflict with belief in God. I can’t help but wonder where this stereotype came from.

 

The first core origins of science came from Christian roots. Science arose out of a belief of a rational God and therefore for His creation to make sense.  The greatest scientific discoveries of our time have been made not by skeptics but by great Christian minds that publically devoted their work to the glory of God. Albert Einstein, Isaac Newton, Galileo, Michael Faraday and Leonardo DaVinci we’re not only renowned as scientists but influential Christians; they were powerful men of faith. As a great man of faith Albert Einstein once said “I want to know Gods thought, the rest are just details”. As a rock founder of modern science who shaped the very views we say oppose God saw science as merely the details of how God made such an awesome creation.

In the infinite nature of space, the inexplicable theories of physics and the complexity of the human body, I see nothing but evidence for an awesome creator. Scrape just past the surface and you’ll find advanced scientists starting to sound almost like Ancient Hebrew poets. Words resonate through advanced science (particularly modern physics) such as unexplainable, unfathomable, mysterious, indefinable and breathtaking. Evolution is all the science world can give us to explain the mystery of human life and the creation of our infinite universe. I find myself thinking anyone who can believe that has more faith than me. I’m not keen to rest my trust in a lost soul, university drop out who didn’t even want to publish his work and renounced it as his death bed. The Lord gave us a brain not to numb it but to use it to discover and awe in Him.  

Recently a US Ivy League, Scientific Professor sat in his study staring at his computer screen. Having just completed his PHD in functions of the brain he sat awed at the unexplainable complexity and perfection that was the human brain. With his finished work on the screen in front, the tears poured down his face as right there in his study he got on his knees and gave his life to the awesome creator who was behind such an epic masterpiece. We have an unfathomable world that I find points the arrow to an unfathomable and perfect creator.

In Mathew 7:7- 12 Jesus says ask and you will receive, seek and you will find. God wants you to know Him, wants to show you He’s there. The greatest evidence you’ll ever have for Gods existence is the evidence of how He changed your world when you let Him in. Ask for the answers, the evidence and He’ll show you. The answers are out there, all it takes is a sincere heart to go searching.
